Any amount helps. But I am also fully aware that many people just do not have disposable income, and there are many ways to help.
1.) Talk me up to your friends and neighbors, anyone who respects your opinion. Word of mouth is free and the most effective form of advertising that exists.
2.) Display a yard sign, contact me, and we will get the signs out to you before election day. This can work with the least effort on your part and can have almost as much influence among your friends who are sitting on the fence.
3.) Door to door canvassing, handing out literature. There are a lot of doors to knock on in Lake County. I could only get to them all personally if I was willing to ignore my current job as St John Township Assessor to do so. If I were willing to do that, there would be no point in electing me.
4.) Work the local media. Write letters to the editor, comment on the online articles, comment on local political blogs (but only on topic, please don't comment SPAM in my name.) and call local radio stations.
5.) Work the polls on election day, contact me and I'll get you all coordinated, or at least arrange for someone to get you coordinated.
